May Flowers

This week the large azaleas are in full bloom. They're two almost three weeks later than normal. These are about 30 years old and are now taller than the eaves on the house. This azalea is George Tabor.

Another very showy shrub that is in bloom this week is Deutzia.
Hawthorn is also blooming. This shrub is now a small tree and is about 12 feet tall.
The bearded iris are just starting to bloom. Here are three that caught my eye.

Last week I didn't have anything blooming in the curb garden but Gaillardia is in bloom now.
The Rose of the week is Golden Showers.
This weeks cut flowers and an arrangement are below.

  1. I do not think there is a more beautiful azalea than George Tabor.
